*題目:Music has always been and continues to be the universal language of mankind. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
*范文:
There are thousands of languages used by human beings every day. Yet, in my opinion, music is the one language that has always been and continues to be our universal language.
First of all, music developed independently in **civilization**s that had little or no contact with each other. For example, **African tribes** had music thousands of years ago, as did the **nomads** in Central Asia thousands of miles away. This indicates that music is deeply **ingrained in** us—that we have an **innate desire** to create or listen to music. Music served many functions back then, such to celebrate a wedding, tell stories, or mark an important holiday. Today, although the songs might have changed somewhat, they are still used in similar ways. Thus, music has always been and continues to be an important part of human society.
On top of that, you don’t need to know the words in a song, or even have any words in a song to feel the message it’s trying to convey. The melody and rhythm alone is enough to communicate all kinds of emotions, including happiness, sadness, or even more complex emotions like peace and triumph. Consider the famous classical music pieces, ‘Winter,’ ‘Spring,’ ‘Summer,’ and ‘Fall.’ Today, centuries after these pieces were written, people are still able to quickly match each song with the correct season. The fact that music is able to transcend the boundaries of language and time allows it to be our universal language.
Thus, I firmly agree with the idea that music has been and will continue to be mankind’s universal language.

*題目:Some people think financial aid from international organizations is important for developing countries. Others believe that practical aid and advice are more important. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
*范文
Nowadays, many worldwide organizations are providing financial assistance to developing countries. However, a group of people advocates that financial support is required but some technical help would be more useful. This essay will discuss both the viewpoints before arriving at a conclusion.
There are several reasons why monetary help is beneficial for developing nations. Firstly, many emergent countries are struggling with the problems related to basic infrastructure like roads, railways and public transportation. Therefore, they need financial support from external bodies to complete unfinished projects and also to launch new ones. Secondly, a number of developing and undeveloped countries are not able to provide basic facilities to their citizens. For example, millions of people living in poor countries still do not have access to food, water or sanitation. In order to provide these basic requirements, the government needs funds from international companies.
However, financial aid alone will not help. Developing nations also need logistical support and advice. It has been observed that the money sanctioned by world agencies for development is not always utilized for the right purpose. Instead, it is used by corrupt politicians to serve their interests. Therefore, many developing nations are facing issues such as corruption and scams. It would be quite helpful if they can also get some practical support and advice to boost their economy.
In conclusion, international organizations should help developing countries grow by providing financial support. However, in my opinion, it is equally important to provide some practical advice as it will help them overcome their problems.

*題目:Many people use social media every day to get in touch with other people and obtain news, do you think the advantages of this way outweigh the disadvantages?
*范文
In recent days, the usage of social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google, and many more is quite popular. People rely on these agents not only to communicate but to know about recent news as well. I think its advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
To begin the positives, these sites introduce the world of virtual reality to people. This is because an individual can connect with his kith and kin sitting miles apart. To present an example, nowadays people prefer to video call their family members on traditional occasions to feel their presence, who are residing in foreign countries. In contrast, people have to stand in a long queue to hear the voice of their loved ones. Additionally, it has helped society to remove the conversation gap. Today we can chat, talk, share good memories, play games with a relative who is far away. For instance, during the lockdown of the country, my brother, who resides abroad, play game with me to spend some happy moments. Whereas, in the past physical presence in the vicinity was must involved in some games.
As every coin has two faces, so do these sites have. Firstly, national and international connections demand a good strength of the signal. If the network is poor, then contact cannot be established and vice versa. Secondly, many cases of online theft have been reported while money transfers, which could be eliminated by the proper use of safety programs. Finally, people could spread fake news; for example, a person's remorse that his neighbor, who had travel history to Greece, is covid 19 positive, though he was not. Rumors like this probably arouse panic and anxiety among the public.
In conclusion, although social sites pose a certain threat to society in terms of robbery and wrong news, they still it has many pros which cannot be neglected.

*題目:Many museums and historical sites are mainly visited by tourists, not local people. Why is this case and what can be done to attract local people?
*范文
It is true that, instead of being visited by local people, a large number of museums and historical sites are mostly visited by tourists. There are a variety of reasons for this, but I believe that there are ways to encourage local people to visit more.
In my opinion, local people are not visiting that much because of a few major factors. Firstly, museums and historical sites are often extremely **overcrowded** because of the large amounts of tourists. It can be quite unpleasant to navigate these crowded spots, so it’s only natural that local residents would prefer to avoid them. Even without the crowds, the places themselves can be unpleasant to visit. Some of them are dirty, **broken down**, boring, or simply ugly. Local residents have probably also been to these attractions already, so they have no real reason to revisit them. There is a sense that if you’ve seen it once, you’ve seen it all.
However, I’d argue that it’s possible to encourage more local residents to visit these places. One solution would be to limit the amount of visitors. For instance, one temple I enjoyed visiting allowed only a few hundred people in at any given time. Unattractive or broken down **historical sites** should be better maintained and undergo **periodic renovations** and repairs. To hold local interest, it’d be wise to regularly add new areas or **rotate exhibitions** so that there’s always something new for visitors to see. Finally, it’d be a great idea to offer local residents a special discount or yearly membership.
In conclusion, it’s clear that there are various reasons why many museums and historical sites are rarely visited by local people, but this is a problem that can definitely be resolved.

*題目:Nowadays, some parents put a lot of pressure on their children to succeed. What are the reasons? Is this a positive or negative development for children?
*范文
These days, many youngsters are highly influenced by their mothers and fathers to achieve outstandingly in life. The essay will extensively discuss the motives behind the development as well as how it can be considered a constructive trend.
To begin, there are myriad reasons that fathers are forcing their juveniles to compete with the others. Firstly, the older generation compels their kids to be wealthy because they have observed the current universal financial hardships and how they may impact the future of their offspring. Even though it may be hard to admit, it is undeniable that the world we live in at the moment is tougher than it used to be. Secondly, fathers who are fascinated to become a doctor or an engineer, but they didn't get their dream job, are also suggesting their children towards the same specification, by neglecting juveniles area of interest.
Moreover, the demand to be successful is advantageous as it encourages the younger people to strive for a better life ahead. With their parents constantly coercing them to achieve higher standards, the youth develops competitive urges and motivation. Eventually, they will learn to seek deeper knowledge and better opportunities persistently. In addition, children and teenagers, who have been trained to think critically, are able to apply the skills to plan their life ahead. As an example, currently, in Australia, 30% of the teenagers who are at the age to enter high school education, have chosen to undergo specialised training instead, such as going to a culinary school. This is because they have decided their career field early on and managed to choose pathways closer to their goal.
In conclusion, adults put pressure on children to ensure children are prepared for those situations. Nevertheless, the development is necessary to improve the subsequent generation’s mindset and skills to adapt to the harder challenges in the world.
