Sometimes you are required to meet with another person to provide feedback about that person's work (for example, when you must give your opinions about a classmate's work on an assignment or your thoughts about a coworker's contribution to a project). When you have both positive and negative feedback to give about a person's work, do you believe it is more effective to give the positive comments first or the negative comments first? why?
工作中有時我們需要分別給出積極和消極的反饋。你覺得是先給積極反饋更有效,還是先給消極反饋?為什么?
小新比較喜歡先聽好消息,然后再聽壞消息——先得到肯定,再接受批評。

Firstly, if people understand that positive aspects of their job are observed, they will be much more encouraged to continue them, so it is useful feedback. To be more specific, by mentioning one's plus abilities, they grasp which skills is beneficial, hence paying attention to either enhance them or maintain them. As a person who is respected for positive characteristics feels enthusiastic, they enjoy learning about their negative behaviors without any frustrating feelings. According to my own experience, my manager holds a meeting every month to instigate our duties. When he approves of our work, all the colleagues feel energetic, and they are aware that their efforts are monitored and be praised, so everyone tries to keep our positive abilities. After the manager finishes his supportive comments, all of the workers ask him about their negative parts themselves because they spur to revise these parts. Therefore, they will be acclaimed at the next meetings more than before.
除此之外,先給到積極反饋,也能樹立自信心,發(fā)揮創(chuàng)造力。
